The Left-Right Political Spectrum: A Relic

Not a fan of the Republican party? Disillusioned by the Democrats? Maybe you’re okay with one party’s actual politics, but are sick of their image or those who represent it? Or maybe you just can’t see the main party Ever addressing the issues of daily life that truly matter to you? Do you ever look at society, perhaps through the lens of your own life up until this point, and feel like things are far too screwed up – too mismanaged, too lost or behind, or too damaged by the past – to ever be corrected? Is it too late for our own lives, and the societies that those lives make up, to be transformed? Transformed to focus on offering true significance, purpose, and fulfillment to our own lives, and the lives of others?

Unism was not begun as a political party. Its intentions are far more personally applicable, and deal with the issues of life itself which modern politics has long obscured and distanced itself from. Unism is a philosophical approach designed specifically for our increasingly fast-paced yet seemingly empty modern lives, which promises to marry the true wisdom of the past with the ingenuity of the present, for the sake of an entirely new future. Think of it as a school of thought which curates all the most vital information that humanity has discovered up to this point; everything that you – as someone in our unique, near-dystopian technological age, needs to know in order to see our world for what it really is, and to transform it into what it really can be.

It is time to get beyond all current mentalities for mending society: both the Conservative approach of basing decisions on fears or suspicions, aiming to return to an over-idealized and forever-elusive “former glory” against the clearly unhaltable tide of gradual liberalization and egalitarianism; and the Liberal approach of putting a well-meaning yet infected band-aid of political correctness and social justice on the current system of inequality, which has and will forever perpetuate the current racial, ethnic, gender, and socio-economic divisions that have survived for centuries.

As Unists, we are done thinking small scale; letting these ancient hatreds and artificial divisions hold us back, both personally and as a human race, from embodying a future where a person is judged Not by their gender, their ethnicity or race, even their politics, religious beliefs, or private lifestyles – whatever does not interfere with others’ pursuit of happiness – but is judged solely by their character and actions, in relation to any actual harm done to themselves or others. This is not due to (or any endorsement of) the sanctity, superiority, or even merit of any religion, culture, race, or lifestyle, but is rooted in the Unist belief that, “that which can coexist, should coexist; and that which should coexist, can.”

We Unists are far past divisions. We are ready to unite all free-thinking people, and embrace Everyone else who is on their way to thinking freely, especially those further behind than others: We understand human development (individual, personal development, and the consequential advancements of societies, and of human understanding as a whole) as a Progression which is ultimately leading towards global coexistence. The more one learns and experiences, the less afraid one is of ‘the Other’ and can begin to view humanity in shared terms. This is a process that typically happens around a persons college years, yet no matter how radicalized one becomes, settling down within the current system is a sad, eventual default for most. Despite knowing so much about how inadequate and dysfunctional our government, our societies, our cities and our lives are, we have no viable course for truly elevating and establishing a pursuable purpose for any of these…

Thus we see Unism as the logical evolution past the right-left, conservatism-liberalism spectrum; an evolution which aims to conceptualize, externalize, and actualize this global coexistence, through discovering our individual and collective purposes.
