Sens & Tonka, eds., Collection Morsure, Paris, 1994) first published in English for CTheory in 1995. Radical Being Rachel K. When Exploitation is Sold as Empowerment: Immigration & the DNC
Unism faces many issues in its efforts to catalyze a comprehensive societal transformation ("reboot") along the lines of an OS update able to synchronize, bring up-to-date, redefine and reaffirm our (civic, societal, personal, and interpersonal) intentions, expectations, obligations, parameters for existence and relations to others, both as purpose-driven, autonomously self-actualizing individuals, AND as interdependent, necessary… Continue reading When Exploitation is Sold as Empowerment: Immigration & the DNC
The Golden Rule
The core principle of Unism, as a philosophy of thought and approach to life, is known as "The Golden Rule," and exists in nearly every major world religion. Hinduism: Everything you should do you will find in this: Do nothing to others / That would hurt you if it were done to you. (Mahabharata 5:1517… Continue reading The Golden Rule
The Truth about Fake News
Lot a' people talkin' fake news lately. Lotta people using words diff'ren'ly, we reckon. There are at least three different concepts/definitions wrapped up in people's usage of the term "fake news." In the majority of cases, they are implying/referring to either: 1) Intentional Satire, that simpletons confuse as actual journalism/actual events, which elites argue is corrupting/confusing the… Continue reading The Truth about Fake News
Oversocialization
Generally speaking, the goals of today’s leftists are NOT in conflict with the accepted morality. On the contrary, the left takes an accepted moral principle, adopts it as its own, and then accuses mainstream society of violating that principle. Examples: racial equality, equality of the sexes, helping poor people, peace as opposed to war, nonviolence generally, freedom of expression, kindness to animals. Leftists, especially those of the oversocialized type, usually do not rebel against these principles but justify their hostility to society by claiming (with some degree of truth) that society is not living up to these principles.
Feelings of Inferiority: Self-Hatred is a Leftist Trait
Many leftists have an intense identification with the problems of groups that have an Image of being weak (women), defeated (American Indians), outcast (homosexuals) or otherwise inferior. The leftists themselves feel that these groups are inferior. They would never admit to themselves that they have such feelings, but it is precisely because they do see these groups as inferior that they identify with their problems. (We do not mean to suggest that women, Indians, homosexuals ARE inferior; we are only making a point about leftist psychology.)
Wage Reform 2 Step
Have you ever asked yourself why it is that, when a restaurant becomes popular and serves twice as many customers as they did the month before, only the owner receives any of that dramatic influx of wealth, when they themselves have done the very least to serve and service those new customers? Is this not the manner and mode of labor compensation which was utterly despised when alleged of Communism? That workers being paid a set wage regardless of output, attitude, aptitude or ability would result in a feckless, substandard society where no one is happy to work and all service is terrible?
The Morning After
Revolutions are easy. Revolutions are the exciting, marketable part of new societies. Everyone wants to be in the streets with their fellow man, tearing down systems of oppression. But if history has taught us anything, by way of the Russian Revolution of 1917 (from tsarism to totalitarianism and then Stalinism), the French Revolution of 1789… Continue reading The Morning After

President Donald Trump
It was clear that Hillary Clinton was nearly universally considered untrustworthy, and with failing to connect to any of the major issues Americans are concerned with, we should not be surprised that her voter turnout within crucial swing states - among both minority and white voters - was dramatically lower than even Obama's second term,… Continue reading President Donald Trump
Are SJWs Open-Minded?
A big part of the early stages of achieving Unism's goals is opening an honest dialogue about the prevailing ideologies that govern our perceptions: who holds power in our societies? Who should hold power? Do we shape technology, or does technology shape us, and to what extent do we hold onto any power in either… Continue reading Are SJWs Open-Minded?
Unism Podcast // Episode 1: The Election
In this very first episode of the Unism podcast, we hear about the 2016 Presidential election, the current political landscape, and how Unism transcends it - Not through some new age hippie rhetoric, but through a fundamental, universal code: do to others what you would have done to you. From this starting point, the hosts lay out the implications of this foundational principle, and how it can be used to steer the course of humankind towards total global and inner peace.
The Philosophy of South Park
An amazing video on the 19th season of South Park which aired at this time, last year, and each of the extremely pertinent social issues that it addressed! The 2016 Election
When faced with such a terrifyingly polarizing and undeniably frightening election as we are in 2016, Unism stands as an ideological alternative to the two major parties. Unism as a Participatory Culture
Hello all! Unism is the start of a new participatory culture, which solidifies the open-minded and well-intended among us: the millions and millions of otherwise non-categorizable, non-affiliated people who are not satisfied with the state of disharmony, predation, and warfare we exist in. Unism is for those of us, all across the world, who seek to… Continue reading Unism as a Participatory Culture
